Jerry VivinoIf you don’t know Jerry personally you’ve more than likely have heard him play. Over the last few decades Jerry has been one of New York City’s busiest session players. His resume reads like a Who’s Who in the music biz. Jerry has performed and or recorded with the likes of Al Kooper, Levon Helm, Bette Midler, Tony Bennett, Keely Smith, Donald Fagen, James Brown, Frankie Valli, Hubert Sumlin, Son Seals, Phoebe Snow, James Taylor, Bon Jovi, Dr. John, Wynton Marsalis and Bruce Springsteen to name a few.

As a sideman, Jerry can be heard nightly, in the The Max Weinberg 7 on NBC’S hit television show Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Or as a featured saxophonist with the world renowned Beatles group “ The Fab Faux”. As a band leader Jerry co leads a Jazz /Blues band with his Brother/Guitarist Jimmy Vivino known as The Vivino Brothers Band. Jerry’s own jazz group will always feature a stable of world class musicians such as Lew Soloff, Jim Rotondi,Mike fahn, Dave Kikowski, Brian Charette, Mike Merritt, Kermit Driscoll, Chip Jackson, James Wormworth, Shawn pelton and Bernard Purdie.

Walkin’ with the Wazmo, Jerry’s latest CD release available here on Zoho Jazz features 11 tracks. Eight originals and three covers. Jerry is featured on Tenor and alto saxophone, flute, alto flute and he even sings on 3 tracks. He is complimented by an entourage of top flight NYC sidemen including Lew Soloff and Michael Morreale ( trumpet ) Brian Charette and Ken Levinsky ( keyboards ) Mike Merritt and Kermit Driscoll ( bass ) Shawn Pelton, James Wormworth and Ray Marchica ( drums ) Mike Fahn ( valve trombone ) Fred Walcott ( percussion ) and Jimmy Vivino, Greg Skaff and Peter Mc Cann ( Guitar ).

Jerry plays and endorses Selmar Saxophones and Rico/D’Adarrio reeds.
